Course Description
|
This course develops skills in the safe and proper use of virtually all types of
woodworking tools. Hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools
will be discussed in detail, giving the student the knowledge and confidence to
operate each tool safely and effectively. Students are expected to be involved
in project work, both assigned and personal choice.
Advanced woodworking skills are introduced at levels II, III & IV, and students
are challenged to design and build more advanced projects.
The A option is intended to coordinate with the Graduation
Project in extending the research and project development
beyond the typical Woodworking course.
Prerequisites:
Courses must be taken in sequence.
