Course Description
|
Students will learn the basic language of drafting by completing a series of
drawings and projects. They will be able to visualize objects in three
dimensions, read blueprints, prepare working drawings, think through problems,
draw clearly and accurately, and obtain substantial practice in engineering
drafting techniques. At level II, they will apply more advanced concepts such as
multiview projection, developments, pictorials, auxiliary views, and sectioning.
Levels III and IV emphasize problem solving, design, and individual student
interests.
Successful completion of Technical Drawing II, III, and/or
IV will provide one credit of the Advanced Technology Education
Requirement for each course.
The A option is intended to coordinate with the Graduation
Project in extending the research and project development
beyond the typical Technical Drawing course.
Prerequisites:
Courses must be taken in sequence.
