Advanced Placement Studio Art I (293141)
Advanced Placement Studio Art II (294141)
Course Description Students pursue college-level art studio studies following a curriculum provided by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Working independently, they develop a drawing portfolio (including slides which must be taken by the student) to be submitted to the Educational Testing Service for evaluation (using a 1-5 scoring rubric) and possible college credit. Students who earn a portfolio score of three or higher may receive three (3) college credits. Students should be able to fund approximately $75-$100 for the Advanced Placement portfolio packet, slides, and other presentation materials.

Students must enroll for two semesters of Studio Art, Advanced Placement in order to complete the work required of this program.

Prerequisites:
Advanced Placement Studio Art I:
successful completion of Drawing and Painting II or Art II and excellent scores on the evaluation of the portfolio prepared for that level II class
Advanced Placement Studio Art II:
successful completion of Advanced Placement Studio Art I
