Course Description This elective course is offered as 1/2 credit in conjunction with Graduation Project, or a student can take a full credit of Journalism I, II, III, and IV. Open to students in 10 - 12 grade, this course helps students learn and apply skills related to news writing, editing, financing, and designing the school newspaper. Most of the class instruction is through the hands-on production of the award-winning Lance student newspaper. As the students develop skill, they are given editorial positions of responsibility. Students with good attendance, the ability to work independently and with a group, and with acceptable writing skills are encouraged to apply.

Prerequisite:
Permission of the instructor.
