Course Description
|
This course is an intensive study of the theory, operation, maintenance, and
repair of two- and four-cycle small and multi-cylinder engines. Students will
work on engines, applying academic skills to real practice. Other skills such as
welding, tool fitting, and customer relations are part of this course.

Engine and Power Technology II (491051)

Course Description
|
This one semester course provides students with skills in the operation
and service of small and large engines and electric motors. It follows the
Engine and Power Technology I course. The majority of instruction
will be in the agricultural mechanics labortory. Engine troubleshooting
and failure analysis, hydraulics, oxyacetylene cutting and welding as
well as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
will be covered.
Prerequisite:
Successful completion of Engine and Power Technology I
