Course Description

The dance program focuses on developing sound technique in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap styles, with ballet as the fundamental craft. Level I emphasizes technique study. Level II provides students with additional theory work in alignment, composition, choreography, dance history, criticism, aesthetics, repertory, and improvisation to allow students to develop an understanding of dance as an art form. Dance I qualifies as a fine arts credit.
