Course Description This program prepares students for employment in a broad range of occupations in the general construction, building maintenance, and home improvement industries. Units of instruction include tools, construction materials, job safety, blueprint reading, carpentry, basic masonry, and general maintenance. Students enrolled in second and third year programs participate in the completion of long-term projects designed to develop competencies in each major area of the construction trades. Students interested in 2 credits for Carpentry and Construction Trades II or III may work with the instructor for a 2 credit course.

Prerequisites:
Courses must be taken in sequence.
