Course Description
|
Students will draw, design, and print a variety of computer-generated color
graphics using a variety of software programs. Students must have successfully
completed the Fine Arts (visual art) requirement; in addition, they must have a
knowledge of basic computer applications, as well as advanced levels of drawing
and painting skills. Students will be required to have or purchase a sketchbook
and an art portfolio (in which to collect art works); students must be able to
fund approximately $40 for a studio fee as well as other supplies as required by
the individual teacher.
In Computer Graphics II, students will work on increasingly more
individual and independent projects in all phases of computer graphics design
and production, resulting in a varied and complex collection of art projects to
be maintained in the art portfolio. Preparation for college and the world of
work is highlighted.
Successful completion of Computer Graphics I or II will provide one credit of
the Advanced Technology Education requirement.
Prerequisites:
Computer Graphics I:
successful completion of Art I, Ceramics I, Drawing and
Painting I, or Photography I; knowledge of basic computer
applications; and teacher permission
Computer Graphics II:
successful completion of Computer Graphics I
and teacher permission
