Course Description
|
This course is designed to teach students specific skills in the organization of
architectural drawings, lettering and symbols, elements of a house, plans,
elevations and sections, architectural details, wall sections, and working
drawings. Students will draw a full set of architectural plans. In level II,
students produce additional detail drawings: floor and ceiling framing, doors
and windows, stairs, chimneys and heating ducts, electrical plans, and built-in
installations. Students will design their own structures and make the necessary
construction drawings.
Successful completion of Level II of this course will provide
one credit of the Advanced Technology Education requirement.
The A option is intended to coordinate with the Graduation
Project in extending the research and project development
beyond the typical Architectural Drawing course.
Prerequisites:
Courses must be taken in sequence.
